Our approach is a hands-on, nature-enhanced program allowing children more privatized instruction to reach their highest individual potential. Many feel that larger public and private school settings are not the perfect fit for every student and teacher. Homeschool Now’s students benefit from personalized instruction, engaging their interests as individuals. This creative approach fosters a new and deeper love of learning in the children.

Our program allows families the freedom of homeschooling in a small group setting allowing the children to reach their highest potential.
Our students will be on par, or above, their peers according to state standards. Our program is created in a way that executes various teaching strategies. We intertwine Common Core, Waldorf Methods, hands-on learning, small group instruction and outdoor education. While following a simple structure, each teacher also has the freedom to develop instruction based on their student’s individual needs. This will allow each teacher to be creative, engaging and keep the instruction exciting and new each day.
The students will be well rounded as they are exposed to various different electives; such as: deep nature, music, art, physical education, foreign language, Hawaiian studies, cultural lessons, health/nutrition, etc. A well rounded educational experience that includes several electives is closely linked to academic achievement, social and emotional development, and equitable opportunity. We value the importance of creativity and will expose the students to as many electives as possible to ensure they thrive in Homeschool Now.

Outdoors & Hands-On
Math in the jungle, language arts around a campfire, learning social skills through pizza making; we aim to make all learning outside and hands-on. Instead of counting on worksheets, we count coconuts and go to the beach for marine studies. Our teachers are encouraged to hold classes in nature throughout Kauai’s North Shore as much as possible.
Educating the mind, body, and soul
Homeschool Now focuses on educating the whole child: mind, body and soul. Yoga and meditation, social skills and environmental stewardship, cultural practices and critical thinking are all part of the curriculum at Homeschool Now. Using rigorous and engaging instruction, we offer project-based learning at the heart of the instructional approach, getting away from the ‘one size fits all’ teaching model.
Individualized Attention
Homeschool Now focuses on teaching for each child’s strengths, skills, and needs, facilitating them to learn at their own pace according to their unique interests. Our teachers combine state-standard academics with various teaching methods, allowing students to blossom in a stimulating environment that is flexible enough to meet the needs of each individual.
